Need money for surgery

0

Q: My cat needs major surgery on her mouth to the tune of $4,000. No point in berating me for not having pet health insurance — that ship has sailed, at least for this expense. Credit card rates are so high right now, and I don’t have the cash on hand. Any other ideas?

Dear Ms. Oser,

A: With a credit card from carecredit.com, you can spread out your cat’s veterinary costs over 6, 12, 18, or 24 months with no interest, as long as you make the minimum monthly payment. You can also spread out the payments over a longer period with interest rates that are somewhat lower than with other credit cards. This credit card works for medical expenses for you and your human family, too. It might be worth checking out and seeing if you qualify.
