You Should Check Not Just Weight But Also Muscle Mass

A cat may be just the right weight or even overweight but can still be left frail with too little muscle.

You know you should be assessing your catís body condition score to make sure she isnít too heavy. But what about her muscle condition score? Cats with undue muscle loss, either because of a chronic disease or simply the aging process ó or both ó are often weaker than they should be and may have a decreased ability to recover from illness or surgery.
